Alien Invaders Have Come to Knockout City!

Time to take this Conflict Escalation to The Next Level!

Alien Invaders

This is not a drill! Alien Invaders have landed in the outskirts of Knockout City! Man, I wish I had joined that Doomsday Prep group now. It’s unclear what they want or why they’re here, but it doesn’t look good. We’re about to show them whose city this is. It’s time for a Conflict Escalation, arriving in Knockout City on Tuesday, December 7th at 12pm (noon) UTC!

Conflict Escalation

The Knockout City Defence Force has increased production of Bomb Balls with some special modifications… Mainly, the disabling of the auto-targeting modules! These modified explosives have been distributed to brawlers across Knockout City to test out in the first series of Limited-Time Playlists, Conflict Escalation.

These are unprecedented times. At the behest of Commissioner Chase, the Knockout City Defence Force has launched a full-fledged counterattack. There are four phases to this strike, and every Brawler needs to be prepared for action! The Knockout City Defense Force is depending on accurate data from each match you participate in to improve their weapons so we’re ready for our unwanted foreign guests. As such, you’ll find that as you progress through each 4v4 Playlist, we’ll test the limits of what you’re capable of. For Phases 1 & 2, you’ll need 12 points to win the round; for Phases 3 & 4, you’ll need to score 15 points to win the round. All Phases require that you win two rounds to win the match.

Phase 1

Starts: Tuesday, December 7 at 12:00pm UTC
Ends: Thursday, December 9 at 11:59am UTC

Better keep your eyes sharp and your wits about you. Treat these Untargeted Bomb Balls with care, because the safety’s off and we’re getting serious. Each Spawn Site is deploying twice the usual amount of Bomb Balls, and they won’t home in on your opposition automatically. Other modifications like an increased fuse time allows you to get more strategic about where you toss these. But beware! Their blast radius is also larger, so take care to throw these with enough distance from yourself and your teammates so you don't accidentally give up some points to the opposing team! Having trouble aiming? Don’t forget Character Throws and Ultimate Throws are still an option!

Phase 2

Starts: Thursday, December 9 at 12:00pm UTC
Ends: Sunday, December 12 at 11:59am UTC

You’ve done well, Brawlers, but now it’s time to upgrade our defenses! The KODF will begin deploying Sniper Balls at spawn sites, alongside the Untargeted Bomb Balls. Sniper Balls will still seek out your adversary, so grab one and lock on, soldier!

Phase 3

Starts: Sunday, December 12 at 12:00pm UTC
Ends: Thursday, December 16th at 11:59am UTC

Don’t hold back! We’ve got to continue improving our weapons if we want to save our City! We’re granting you the ability to charge up both types of balls even faster! We’re certain this will give us exactly the boost we need to succeed!

Phase 4

Starts: Thursday, December 16th at 12:00pm UTC
Ends: Tuesday, December 21st at 11:59am UTC

It’s time for payback in this all-out Dodgewar! Now, not only will you have Untargeted Bomb Balls, Sniper Balls, and Fast Charge, you'll also send a Revenge Bomb back toward the brawler who took you out! It’s the perfect surprise for the player who likes to taunt over you with every KO.

Conflict Escalation Contracts

Knockout City honors and respects the brawlers who accept the risk of working to defend our city from these alien intruders. As such, it’s only right that we reward you for your bravery and commitment with Pom Passer Energy Drinks to keep your energy levels supercharged, and XP to commemorate the work you’re doing. Those who give it their all and complete any 5 Contracts and will see their successes commemorated with the Bomb Ball Ultimate Hologram. Our most esteemed Brawlers who complete the Medal of Honor Contract by finishing all eleven Conflict Escalation Contracts will be awarded the Legendary Crew Banner: Bomb Ball.

Brawlers, Unite!

We must work together to stop the invasion, and protect our city and our citizens from these unwanted trespassers. Bring your A-game, we’re counting on you.
