Holo-Ween Arrives October 19th!

Scare up some treats in Candy Wars!

The sky in your Hideout is overcast. Clouds roll in, obscuring the moon. A single hovercar speeds by, headlights cutting through the fog. The air hangs heavily around you, sending a chill down your spine. You turn to pass to your teammate, but you can’t shake the feeling that something out there is standing by, watching you. Waiting for the perfect moment to swoop in and steal your candy.

Are you ready for the spookiest, creepiest, most bone-chilling time of year to descend on Knockout City? Of course you are! Look at you, charging in like a clueless teenager to a haunted campground in any campy horror flick—not knowing what dangers await you!

Candy Wars

This Holo-Ween event is brought to you by the sweet, sugary smiles at Boba Cola. And they want you to team up with your best brawlin’ buddy to snag as many pieces of candy as you can as you face off against two other duos in Candy Wars! KO your opponents and scramble to scoop up the honeyed, colorful treats they leave behind before your opponents do! But there’s a trick, which can score you an extra treat! We could tell you the secret, but you’ll have to find out how to score those extra few pieces of candy.

First team to 35 points wins the round. Seal the deal by finishing matches and completing contracts and you’ll find yourself with a pumpkin head full of Holo-Ween Tickets, which you can spend in the Mask Shop!

Mask Shop

This shop’s got more masks than that unnamed seasonal spirit shop that’s taken over the skeletons of locations that make up your fondest childhood memories. Get your ever-popular Plague Doctor mask (terrifying, we know), or get a little funky with the Greaser Zombie mask. They’re perfect for the season, or to just hide that ugly mug of yours. We kid, we kid! Dig around in the back and you’ll find a few extras, like poses that will have you rising from your early grave or a chilling Pipe Organ Crew Horn to sound your arrival when your hearse Crew Vehicle arrives. While you’re here, stock up on Style Chips and Energy Drinks, each purchasable only once. Save up for the items you really want, but don’t hang on to your tickets for too long, or you’ll be left holding an empty treat bag at the end of the event!

Did you catch that featured mask in there? That’s right, if you missed our announcement yesterday, Isaac Clarke is making an appearance in Knockout City, and his helmet is going to be up for grabs in the Mask Shop. Depending on how tough your opposition is on the streets, there’s no guarantee they’ll be any easier to take down than a horde of necromorphs!

Contracts

Track your progress as you brawl your way through the Holo-Ween Contracts and earn Holo-Ween tickets to use in the Mask Shop. Some contracts you’ll complete for playing Candy Wars, others require you to wear a mask and scare up some wins in whatever Playlist you choose. Smash that last contract, and you’ll take home the Legendary Face Melt Taunt, not available anywhere else.

Holo-Ween Bundle

If cold hard Holobux (taken from the brawlin’ gloves of your foes) are more your style, head on over to the Bundle Shop. Suit up with the Legendary Scarecrow Outfit, Pumpkin Head, Threshers Gloves, and the enchanting Grim Grimoire Glider all for just 2400 Holobux. That’s 35% off when bought as a bundle!

The Witching Hour

When the clock strikes 12pm (noon) UTC on November 2nd, the spell will lift, the Holo-Ween event will end, all the candy will disappear, the Mask Shop will close, and all that will be left is a vague memory of a spooky event, from those who were there. But, some say, if you listen closely, you can still hear the Legendary Scarecrow-bot laughing maniacally in the distance. Best get brawlin’ before that happens!
