Weekly Playlist

Today is your last chance to vote on our Players’ Choice Playlist for Week 9 and shape the future of the game! At the time of writing this Chronicle, the options are a lot more evenly matched than we expected. Which one will the community choose? It’s literally in your hands! Voting closes at 8 a.m. ET / 5 a.m. PT on Tuesday, July 13.

Diamond Dash fans, this is your week to shine like a… well, you know! We’re turning it up a notch with Party Diamond Dash, available tomorrow. Just like before, you’ll KO your opponents and grab their Diamonds, but watch out because it’s all Special Balls with a twist: character throws land you bonus diamonds! First team to 30 points wins the round; two rounds wins the match.

Contracts

This week’s Crew Contract rewards are just so clean. Completing any 2 contracts will get you the Epic Crew Banner: Thisaway, Thataway, and any four will drop the Uncommon Crew Vehicle: Downrezzed Racer into your inventory. Gimmie!

Community Events

Did you know that every week, the Devs behind Knockout City stream that week’s new playlist live on Twitch? Sometimes, we even ask for players to drop their KO City IDs in chat and choose people to play live at random! Tune in each week at 5:30pm ET, chat with Lynn and Josh, and enter in our raffle to win Style Chips, Holobux or other giveaways!

Have you ever finished a round and thought “Wow my team is amazing! We should see if there’s a tournament.” Well, wonder no more, friend. The Competitive discord is recruiting for brawlers, and has started to work with other organizers to get the competitive scene rocking.

This week, you can look forward to a Gameworks tournament scheduled on Wednesday July 14th at 5pm PT / 8pm ET, with signups to be posted on start.gg. Then, on July 18th, check out the 2nd David and Joeliath qualifier. This 3-part tournament series leads into a $3000 16 team tournament! Winner of the qualifier will get to represent MLB Pitcher Joe Kelly. Keep an eye on the #community-events page in our Official Knockout City Discord, and say hi to our friends in the KC NA Competitive Discord, who can get you more information on their events.
