Predicting the Future

Little known fact: I can see into the future. Each week, I sit down and write this Chronicle an entire week ahead of time, and most of my in-game predictions come true. I’ve had more correct answers here in a Season than on my math finals, which is saying something. So, as we roll into week 9 of our Season, I have a final prediction for you. As of Tuesday, September 14th, I predict that we’ll be getting ready to declare Ball-Up Brawl the winner of the Players Choice vote. If you’re reading this blog the day it comes out, you still have a few hours left to vote!

Bold prediction, I know, given the excitement over Superpowers! Playlist But I stand by my call. If I’m wrong, I’ll give away 500 Holobux to 10 people I choose at (almost) random for saying kind things to one another in regards to Knockout City. I’ll find people in our Discord, on Twitter, Facebook and Reddit. Since you can’t read this until next Monday, you can’t cheat. You’ll just have to be a nice person to win.

Crew Contracts

How’s your Crew holding up on knocking out those Contracts each week? If you’ve got a particular Crew Mate who’s really been carrying the team, how about giving them a high five in our Discord on Wednesday, September 22nd to show your appreciation? On Wednesdays, we give high fives (said in my best Mean Girls voice) from 12pm (noon) ET, for 24 hours. Simply respond to them, or tag them in a message, then type a message that contains the words, “thanks,” “thank you,” or “cheers,” and the bot will give them a high five. The top high five recipient will take home a cool 1000 Holobux each week and earn the “High Five Champ” role in our Discord.

Oh, right. You probably also want to hear about the actual in-game rewards, seeing as that’s what you came here to see. This week, complete any 2 Crew Contracts and receive the Day and Night Crew Banner, and any four Contracts unlocks the White Hot Crew Vehicle. But don’t stop there! Get that extra 5% bonus for the final week when you check them all off!

It’s thoughts and prayers for everyone out there this week, because it’s Absolute Chaos. This eight player free-for-all has all Special Balls, so there’s not a moment to lose. Just pick up the nearest ball-shaped object and hurl it at your foe before you get knocked out. Like I did during the team playtest last week. They said it would be fun. It’s teambuilding, they said. What they didn’t say is I’d get nailed at every respawn by the engineering team.
