Launch Day!

Welcome, Brawlers! On Launch Day, you can expect the following:

New and Improved:

  • A new introduction cinematic welcomes new players to Knockout City and gives a quick tour of the Hideout
  • We heard you! Players can now skip through sections of the rewards sequence in the Match Results screen.
  • Added push-to-talk functionality for PC players using voice chat.
  • Improvement stat tracking during matches and improved clarity in Match Results reporting.
  • Separated “Master Music Volume” and “Match Music Volume” sliders to let players more precisely customize how they hear music in the game.
  • When standing in the T.A.R.G.E.T. Dummy’s target circle in the Hideout and catching balls, players will now see tips to help them make perfect catches.
  • Players can now change voice chat channels easily in the pre-and post-match cinematics, and in the Match Results screen.
  • Always see who is speaking in voice chat with speaking indicator icons in more locations.
  • A new timer in the Hideout shows players how much time is left in the current event.
  • Players can now redeem special codes for in-game items.
  • Simplified Friends list to streamline seeing what state players are in and friending/inviting/blocking them.
  • Players in Private Matches can choose whether they will be spectators if there are more players in the group than the Playlist allows.
  • When scrolling quickly through animations in the Customization menu, players will more clearly see animation previews.
  • Players can no longer spam taunts and emotes during gameplay.
  • Non-English text translations have been improved across the entire game.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where other players were sometimes invisible when joining games.
  • Fixed an issue where players were sometimes stuck in the Match Setup screen while being able to hear the game start and progress.
  • Reduced the frequency of unbalanced matches where one team had more players than the other (though this can still happen if a player quits right when a match starts).
  • Fixed issues where music would be doubled while looking for a match.
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes third or fourth teams appear in two-team games.
  • Energy drinks are now usable in the Inventory screen between matches.
  • Fixed issues causing some Contracts to not progress properly in certain conditions.
  • Fixed visual issues when loading matches or returning to the Hideout.
  • Improved detection and communication when a team forfeits by leaving a match.
  • Implemented many missing UI sounds.
  • Hovering on the edge of a color in a Customization menu no longer switches rapidly between multiple colors.
  • Improved network performance for several maps.
  • Friends' online and offline status in the Friends list are no longer reported incorrectly.
  • Collision and physics have been improved and adjusted in many places, reducing likelihood of players falling through the floor.
  • Balls that spawn on moving platforms should now stay on their spot better and not cause a duplicate ball to spawn.
